When comparing Anaerobic respiration and Aerobic respiration, Anaerobic respiration is less efficient at using the energy from glucose since 2 ATP are produced during anaerobic respiration per glucose, compared to the 30 ATP per glucose produced by aerobic respiration. This is because the waste products of anaerobic respiration still contain plenty of energy. Ethanol, for example, can be used in gasoline solutions. Glycolytic ATP, however, is created more quickly.

Industrial fermentation it more loosely refers to the breakdown of organic substances and reassembly them into other substances. Fermentation has many important uses in industry. Somewhat paradoxically, fermenter culture in industrial capacity often refers to highly oxygenated and aerobic growth conditions, whereas fermentation in the biochemical context is a strictly anaerobic process.

ABE fermentation

Process that utilizes bacterial fermentation to produce acetone, butanol and ethanol from starch.

(A) Food fermentation industries

Fermented food processes, such as bread, wine, cheese, curds, idli, dosa.

(B) Pharmaceuticals Industries

1. Synthesis of Microbial enzymes such as catalase, amylase, protease, pectinase, streptokinase, lactase, etc.

2. Primary metabolites like ethanol, citric acid, glutamic acid, vitamins.

3. Secondary metabolites like all antibiotic fermentation.

4. Microbial cells or biomass as the product like bakers yeast, lactobacillus.

5. Biotransformations like phenyl acetyl carbinol.

6. Recombinant products such as Insulin, HBV, interferon, GCSF.

Nitrogen Fixing Bacteria vs Nitrogen Fertilizer.

Objectives of using Bacteria Fertilizer in Grain Legume Cultivation.
When using legumes which raises the nitrogen level in the soil more, nitrogen-fixing bacteria or nitrogen fertilizer.

Methods using Bacteria Fertilizer in Grain Legume Cultivation.

Enoculated alfalfa plants with three different amounts of nitrogen-fixing bacteria and exposed the plants to three different solutions of nitrogen fertilizer. In the first experiment measured growth of the plants. Then Irealized that the height which the plants grew was not information applicable in everyday life. Testing the soil for its nitrogen content would be more usefull information for future crops of farmers. So similar experiment but instead of testing for plant growth I tested for the level nitrogen in the soil with nitrogen soil testers.

Benifits and Results

The control's plant height average in the first experiment was 92.7mm. The nitrogen bateria's average, which was the highest average, was 97.1 mm tall. The average height of the nitrgen fertilizer was 95.6mm. The results in the test were I focused on the nitrogen content of the soil showed me that nitrogen fixing bacteria had the heighest nitrogen levels slowely progressing from two to three and then it stayed at three. The control's averages started from one to three and then it stayed at three for the last sample. The results for the nitrogen fertilizer started at 1.5 then progressed to 2.5, then to three.

I also monitor the rankings of some other weblog in kottu. Here these are my observations.

1. Alexa Rank mostly depend on the Traffic to your blog.

2. Rank also depend on amount of time users spent on your blog and also number of sub pages they visit.

3. Generally Blogspot sites have higher rank than wordpress sites.

I watch and compare many Blogspot & Wodpress sites. What do you think about the 3d observation. cerno.wordpress.com has a higher traffic rank than abilin.blogspot.com but in most wordpress sites Rank is very low(ranked outside of the Top 100K)

My blog is new, So it is not in alexa.

Wendell Stanley shared the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 1946 with John Northrop, awarded to them "for their preparation of enzymes and virus proteins in a pure form," and with James Sumner "for his discovery that enzymes can be crystallized." In 1926 Sumner had crystallized the enzyme urease; in 1930 Northrop had crystallized pepsin; and in 1935 Stanley had crystallized tobacco mosaic virus. Stanley's result and subsequent findings demonstrated that an infectious agent could possess some of the properties of a chemical molecule. Stanley concluded: "Tobacco mosaic virus is regarded as an autocatalytic self-reproducing protein which, for the present, may be assumed to require the presence of living cells for multiplication."

Let's Start with Cell Theory. Cell Theory states that all organisms are composed of similar units of organization, called cells. The concept was formally articulated in 1839 by Schleiden & Schwann and has remained as the foundation of modern biology. The idea predates other great paradigms of biology including Darwin's theory of evolution (1859), Mendel's laws of inheritance (1865), and the establishment of comparative biochemistry (1940). Ultrastructural research and modern molecular biology have added many tenets to the cell theory, but it remains as the preeminent theory of biology. The Cell Theory is to Biology as Atomic Theory is to Physics.

There are plenty of “non traditional” students, myself included. But the current system isn’t set up to encourage this path. I’ve thought a lot about the path I took to enter medicine. Do I think I made the right decision? Absolutely. I can’t emphasize enough how having experiences outside of school, and outside of medicine, have made me better prepared for handling med school, and I think eventually for becoming a competent, caring physician. I also know many other “non traditional” students who feel exactly as I do. They believe that their path to becoming a doctor has better prepared them, and that they have an advantage over “traditional” students who never left school long enough to experience the world.
